PHILLIPS 66 LUBRICANTS: Phillips 66 traces its history back to 1905, when brothers Frank and L.E. Phillips struck oil in Oklahoma. Their discovery led to the 1917 launch of Phillips Petroleum Company, parent company of today's Phillips 66 lubricants brand. Ten years later, in 1927, the company opened its first service station. Rapid spread of Phillips 66 service stations continued feeding the demand for Phillips 66 Motor Oil.

The Kendall Refining Company was founded in 1881 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, with the goal of refining local Pennsylvania Grade Crude Oil into kerosene, lubricants and greases.
